The Souhegan Valley Chapter of Dollars for Scholars in Milford, NH is a (501C) non-profit organization that has been awarding college scholarships to area students for over 50 years. Because we are staffed completely by volunteers, we are able to keep our expenses at less than one percent of the monies we raise. We raise money to help defray the high cost of a college education for deserving high school and college students from Milford. These scholarships are awarded based upon academic merit, community involvement, work ethic, and financial need.

We hold multiple fund raising events through the year including: mailings to the community, carnival, bake sales, car washes, Night of Giving in partnership with the Simon Youth Foundation, Easy Spirit Freedom Walk and our appeal to the business community. We also distribute scholarships donated by charitable trusts. We are part of a national organization, Scholarship America, which has established matching partner programs with many colleges and universities across the United States. (You can read more about this at Scholarship America). Scholarships may be doubled through this partner program.

Monthly Meetings - We usually hold monthly meetings year-round on the second Monday of the month. Normally they take place at the Milford High School library from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
